Flipped instruction takes off in U.S. classrooms

One Utah middle-school teacher reported that after she adopted flipped instruction, the number of her students failing math fell from 40 to just three. Some Texas students receive exemption from math tests

Tenn. stays the course with test-based teacher evaluations
Tennessee has been using test-based teacher evaluations, and Tennessee Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman has no plans to deviate from that path despite news that Education Secretary Arne Duncan would allow states to delay using student test scores.
