| New curriculum standards adopted by N.J. education board New curriculum standards for subjects such as social studies, science and physical education were approved on Wednesday by the New Jersey State Board of Education. The board also reaffirmed its support for Common Core State Standards in math and language arts, as well as the use of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, or PARCC, tests. The new standards will be implemented for grades 6-12 by September 2016 and in grades K-5 the following year. The Star-Ledger (Newark, N.J.)
